iRobot is one of the most popular brands in robot vacuum cleaners. The company has different models to suit your cleaning needs, so it can be challenging to decide which one you want.
I know what you're thinking. What? A robot vacuum cleaner? That's the stuff of science fiction, right? But it's not!
In fact, Neato Robotics has been making robot vacuums for over a decade now, and they make some really awesome robotic vacuums that are perfect for your smart home.
In this guide, I'll tell you about all the different series of robot vacuums they offer and where to find more information. I'll give a Neato review of each one, so let's get started!
Here are the latest Neato Robot Vacuums as of 2021:
There are three main series in their lineup: XV, Botvac, and Botvac Connected.
Includes Models: D3, D4, D5, D6, D7, and D8
The Botvac Connected series is the flagship product line. Compared to older models, the series features a much-improved navigation system and an upgraded dirt sensor that will intelligently map your home as it cleans hard floors and more.
Includes Models: 65, 70e, 75, 80 and 85, D75, D80, and D85
The original Botvac D series of robot vacuums feature the same basic navigation system as the Connected series but with a lower price point.
The Neato Robotics team has been working hard for years to make these models more efficient and effective. They include features like laser navigation mapping, dustbin sensor, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a new brush design for improved pickup, which lead to the Connected series.
Includes Models: XV-11, XV-12, XV-18, and XV-21
The XV series is Neato's older and sometimes more affordable robot vacuums if you can find them. The XV series does not have the same features as Botvac Connected. They lack an app, Wi-Fi connections, and you can only use its self-docking station to schedule its cleaning job for that day or time you want it done. It's probably better to skip this lineup since updated models are coming down in price.
Neato Robotics was founded in 2005 by 3 engineers from Stanford University. They were frustrated with the state of household cleaning, and the company was born to challenge the status quo.
Neato is an acronym for "New Era Automation Technology Organization." The name was chosen because it reflects the company's core values and commitment to innovation.
Vorwerk of Germany manufactures their robotic vacuum cleaners. All of their products are made in Vorwerk's facility located outside Hamburg, Germany.
The Neato D8 is the latest robot vacuum cleaner from Neato. Being able to clean up to 750 square feet on a single charge is what makes the Neato D8 perfect for smaller to medium-sized homes. It delivers powerful edge-to-edge cleaning with a 70% bigger Spiral Combo Brush than competing round vacuum robots. It also features memory mapping, which means when the battery runs low, or you need to empty it, it will recharge and resume precisely where it left off.

Its laserSmartTM technology intelligently navigates your home to clean only what needs to be cleaned, while Zone cleaning lets you clean specific areas on demand. Virtual No-Go Lines tell your robot vacuum to stay away from places it shouldn't go, and Turbo Mode picks up pet hair quickly and easily. With up to 120 minutes of battery life, there's plenty of time left on the clock for larger homes.

The D6 model from Neato offers a combination of smart navigation features and powerful suction power for deep cleaning carpet, hardwood floors, tile, or any other surface within your house. With the app, you can schedule when it cleans and even create virtual barriers, so it doesn't get stuck in areas where you don't want it to go! This vacuum cleaner also comes with two modes - Eco mode for longer battery life or Turbo mode if you need some serious suction power.

Replacing the D3, the D4 is designed to clean dust and debris around your home, so it doesn't matter where you are in the room or what surface type it is. And with a 75-minute runtime and 100-minute charge time, this little guy can get through an entire floor before needing a break. Plus, with its app features like post-cleaning coverage maps and cleaning history, you don't have to worry about missing any spots!
